Our task? To style a 6000+ sq. ft. gym in just two days — turning it into a space that felt motivational, world-class, and visually stunning.
Understanding the Client’s Vision
Every project begins with a story. When we met the co-founders of The Gym Culture, they envisioned a space that combined the luxury of Los Angeles and the edge of New York City. It had to be powerful yet calming, aspirational yet approachable — a place where every member felt motivated to push harder.
The gym already had state-of-the-art equipment and advanced technology, but it lacked the final layer of design cohesion and visual identity. That’s where we came in.
Space Planning and Site Assessment
After reviewing the floor plan and conducting a detailed site visit, we quickly realized that the gym’s functionality was top-tier — the layout ensured smooth circulation and never felt crowded.
Our challenge was to style the space without interrupting traffic flow or cluttering the workout zones. We decided to focus on:
- Walls and vertical surfaces for creative visual impact
- Unused corners and dead spaces to add warmth and personality
- Lighting and reflections to amplify depth and energy
Design Direction and Moodboard Creation
To align our ideas with the client’s goals, we created a moodboard that blended luxury and motivation. The styling direction centered on:
- Quirky motivational wall quotes to energize members
- Pops of greenery to soften the all-black industrial interiors
- Monochrome and metallic details for a high-end, urban aesthetic
- Textured finishes and art to add visual depth
This helped the client visualize how style and function could coexist in one cohesive design.
Curating the Finishing Touches
Once the concept was approved, our styling process moved swiftly. We carefully selected:
- Statement wall art that aligned with The Gym Culture’s brand tone
- Premium indoor plants for vibrancy and contrast
- Luxury room fragrances to subtly elevate the environment
- Minimalist decor accessories that tied the look together

Execution and Styling in Record Time
With only two days to complete the transformation, our team worked meticulously from art installation to final decor placement. Every wall, quote, and corner was styled to perfection.
Before wrapping up, we also conducted a maintenance briefing with the housekeeping staff, outlining how to keep the space fresh and clean while preserving the new design elements
